WHAT IS WORLDSHARDS?

WORLDSHARDS is an online downloadable action role-playing game where players can manage, trade, and fully own their virtual assets. It supports NFT-authenticated multimedia content, enabling the collection, trading, and use of digital assets across entertainment platforms. The game offers interactive multiplayer experiences accessible via computer and gaming networks. The game WORLDSHARDS is available and actively operated worldwide, including in the United States.

What is Early access?

Early Access is a stage of development where players can access WORLDSHARDS and play the game before its official release. During Early Access, the project is still in active development and can be changed drastically, allowing players to effectively shape the direction it grows by providing meaningful feedback and reporting bugs.

WHAT IS SHARDS?

The $SHARDS Token is the main resource of the web3 economy in WorldShards. As a fair launch token, $SHARDS has no allocation to the team or investors, ensuring it to be a fair community driven token. Players can primarily receive $SHARDS through in-game drops. More info you can find here

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EARLY ACCESS?

In order to participate, you will need to acquire and use an Early Access key. These keys can be obtained from the Open Loot marketplace by either purchasing a WELCOME BUNDLE or ONE OF THE FOUNDER LANDS (ISLANDS) directly during a sale, or by finding them on the Open Loot marketplace page. Other than that, everyone has a chance to get a 30-day trial version of WorldShards and upgrade it to a full version after 25 days of playing.

WHAT IS OPEN LOOT?

Open Loot is an end-to-end solution to launch games with robust web3 economies. It can provide access to NFTs and the token management platform, a marketplace for buying and selling the game’s NFTs (with no gas fees), custodial wallets, airdrops, multi-chain support, and much more.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BUYING A WELCOME BUNDLE OR ONE OF THE ISLANDS?

If you want to start with premium currency (Gems) and gradually test game mechanics, go for the Welcome Bundle.If you’re looking to be powerful from the very beginning of the game and enhance your in-game capabilities with artifacts, crafting and more capacity, the Island is the better option.

WHAT DOES AN ISLAND'S CAPACITY MEAN AND WHAT DO ARTIFACTS DO?

Island Capacity refers to the limit on the number of objects, such as buildings, workbenches, and decorative items, that can be placed on a given island. Higher capacity allows players to build more structures, making the island more functional and customizable. Founder Islands offer increased capacity compared to the default Main Island, enabling players to expand their gameplay options.Artifacts are special items that enhance the functionality of workbenches, such as crafting, upgrading rarity, and recycling shards. Each artifact must be installed in a slot on the island near its associated workbench to activate its effects. Artifact rarity determines the maximum rarity of items that can be crafted or upgraded, and islands of higher rarity can support higher-rarity artifacts. WHEN HAS THE EARLY ACCESS STARTED?

The early access started on 22nd of February, 2024

HOW DO I GET ACCESS TO THE GAME?

Download the launcher from the website.
Create an Open Loot account.
Activate your access item (trial/access key/founders island), more detailed info is here.
Log into the game using your WORLDSHARDS account.

Now you’re all done and ready to play WORLDSHARDS! Please note that if you own a Founder’s Island, you will have access to the game as long as you own the island. IMPORTANT: If you cease to be the owner of the Founder’s Island, access to the game will be lost, however your in-game progress will be saved (that is unless the progress for all players will be reset, which may happen during Early Access).
